Set within the grounds of a pet cemetery, this new site-specific binaural audio work combines voice and soundscape to examine how remembrance is given, withheld, or erased. It reflects on why some animals are honored with names, graves, and rituals of mourning, while others remain unmarked and forgotten. The work traces shifting lines between love and neglect, intimacy and estrangement, asking who is embraced as a friend and who is cast as alien. The cemetery itself becomes both stage and subject: a Gothic landscape where memory and absence overlap, and where the boundaries of remembering and forgetting shape how we understand not only animals, but our wider relation to the natural world.
