Azerbaijan, a country most famous for it’s richness in oil and large gas reserves, is amongst the most stable countries in the turmoil-ridden Caucasus. Foreigners visiting Baku, the capital, are greeted by marmor sidewalks, skyscrapers and amusement parks hidden in shopping malls, but what goes amiss are the lives of the ordinary people living at the center of the booming oil industry.  My photographs document the lives of the younger generations who are slowly starting to stand up for a more fair and democratic Azerbaijan, where wealth and power would be more equally distributed.
